Vanila swing band was formed in Athens, Greece in 2011. After several changes in their members and many music quests, they came to their final composition and music direction. Vanila swing brings to the stage the music we love, a mixture of 50’s rockabilly and 40’s swing enhanced with a fresh dynamic rock ‘n’ roll sound, while maintaining a vintage mood . In 2014, they released their first single “Take One Step Ahead” that was used in a TV commercial of Cyta mobile company, followed by their debut album “The Rose”, a mix of swing/rock ‘n’ roll & 50’s rockabilly enriched by today’s fresh sound. In 2017 Vanila swing featuring Renos Charalabidis, release the single “Αγωνία”, the great success of George Zampetas. In 2019 they released “Στο χιόνι” an original song by Panagiotis Papaporfyriou. In 2022 two more singles, “On my Own” new country/rock ‘n’ roll style & the well-known Greek cover of Tzeni Vanou “Ξύπνα αγάπη μου”. Vanila swing has performed in venues across Greece, appeared on tv shows, headlined festivals & regularly play at private events (weddings, baptisms, birthday parties & corporate events for big companies (Public stores, Makedonikos Halvas, Amita Motion, Istion Yachting, National Insurance company, Interamerican, Hilton Hotel, Loumidis coffee etc.) The band’s exciting rhythms infect the body and soul with a swing, inviting everyone to the dance floor!
